Rea : a very affectionate mare
Rea is out of our mare Eastland’s Glendearg and is a real gem. She is a 2004 pony, chocolate Dun and 14.2 1/2 hh. She is a very affectionate mare who demands that human attention. Rea is also very mischievious as Connemaras can be, always looking for something to explore. We have exciting plans for Rea that we hope everyone will enjoy in the near future.
Rea's Achievements
Rea started her training with Lori Bell and entered her first Gold schooling show in the fall of 2008. Rea’s marks were very impressive for her first time out. In addition, she was well received by the community for her attractiveness, obedience, and potential as a dressage pony.
In 2009, Rea successfully completed her Gold Training level, competing in the Open Division. She was an absolute pleasure to show, leading to several buyer inquiries. By the end of the year, Rea had accumulated enough points to receive bronze, silver and gold medallions for dressage from the CCPS.
In 2009, Rea was inspected and approved by the CCPS, with special compliments for her "excellent body ...beautiful top line, lovely length of rein and beautiful head, ... beautifully balanced, great bone, excellent type and presence, and excellent temperament.” With such an impressive inspection we decided to put her training on hold to breed her to our stallion, Cara. In the spring of 2010, Rea had her first foal--a beautiful dark bay filly that will make anyone proud to own.
